ALAN FRENCH

WORSHIPFUL MASTER

HARMONY LODGE #9 F&AM

2006 - 2007

My Brothers,

It was great to see such a good turnout for the December meeting, with your officers doing an excellent job with the ritual. December is a fast initiation into events for a new master. We began the holiday season with the annual Ladies luncheon at Chelos, with entertainment by “Ray Peterson and Harriet”.  I enjoyed their renditions of “oldies” and Christmas Carols.

The Children’s Christmas party was held at the Doric Masonic Center and we had a record turnout of children (45) and about fifty five chaperones. The children were entertained by our own personal clown “Shutterbug” also known as James Ogilvie our JW, thank you James for a wonderful job. Santa Claus made his traditional visit to the delight of all our guests. The children’s Christmas Party was handled by our entertainment committee and what a splendid job they did, thanks to all and a special thanks to the gift buying and wrapping group.

Our annual visit to our Special Ladies and our Sick and Shut-ins was held on December 16, we had an excellent breakfast at Scramblers with a good turnout of officers and members. We were very happy to have our District Deputy Grand Master, R.W. Russel Davis join us for this event.

January will be an extremely busy month, please take a moment and look at the dates to remember section of your notice and mark these dates in your personal calendar. It is very gratifying to your officers to see their brothers on the sidelines, especially for degree work. There may be a necessity for a third Entered Apprentice Degree communication of which you will receive notice.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy New Year with prayers for the safe return of our Armed Forces serving in Harms Way .

Fraternally and sincerely,

Alan French
