ALAN FRENCH
WORSHIPFUL MASTER
HARMONY LODGE #9 F&AM
2006 - 2007
My Brothers,
Our regular communication in March was the District
Deputy’s Visitation and I am very pleased to say it was a most successful
evening. Wor. Paul Liese deserves a hearty thank you for providing a most
interesting program about Masons in the Civil War and in particular during the
Battle of Gettysburg. R.W. Russell
Davis, our District Deputy presented Howard Sherman with his fifty year medal
with the appropriate honors. It was good to see Howard in Lodge where he has
been a most loyal member for so many years.
March is a busy month at Harmony and one of the most
important functions each year is the Game Dinner sponsored by the Fellowcraft
club, it is a major fund raising activity and a very popular event. Henry Rossi
our game dinner Guru tells me that we are sold out for 2008. The Game Dinner
crew, too numerous to name, did an outstanding job and are to be congratulated.
I personally heard many compliments
from the people attending.
The Fellowcraft Degree was conferred on ten
candidates on March 20th, these candidates are extremely proficient thanks to
the excellent work of our Junior Deacon Bob Kempf. For those who missed the
Degree you missed a stellar performance of the Middle Chamber Lecture by our
Senior Deacon Jesse Edwards. Thank you Jesse, for a great job.
Remember to check Harmony’s web site for all the
latest information, photos, and calendar, our thanks to the Junior Warden, James
Ogilvie, for his internet skills and devotion to the Craft .
Fraternally and sincerely,
Alan French
