MAY 2007
ALAN FRENCH
WORSHIPFUL MASTER
HARMONY LODGE #9 F&AM
2006 - 2007
My Brothers,
Harmony Lodge will
have it’s customary busy month of May. Starting on the first with or
regular meeting, followed by the Ladies and Special Ladies luncheon and
then the Master Mason Degree.Activity in a lodge is the thing that makes
it worthwhile to the membership and Harmony is a very active lodge. If
you are not participating in the activities you are missing the
fellowship which is a most important part of Masonry. Take a moment to
look at the calendar on the opposite page and try to attend some of
these events.
Our Ladies and
Special Ladies luncheon is a very popular afternoon and the enclosed
flyer will give you all the details. We are very fortunate to have Wor.
Bob “Cuz” Harrop and Lady Jan who have worked tirelessly over the
years to make this semi annual event such a great success.
Our summer events are
in the planning stage at this time, tho looking out my window today it
looks like summer may be delayed for some time. In July we have our
Annual Charity Golf Tournament to benefit the RI Food Bank, this would
be a good opportunity for some of our members to contact Wor. Carmine
DePetrillo and offer their assistance for this event. You don’t have
to play golf to help,as matter of fact non golfers would be very helpful
on the day of the tournament.
I am suddenly
half way through my year as master and the speed with which this has
happened is quite amazing. I have to say that as I started this year I
was very uncertain as to how things would work for me, but I want say
that the support of this line of officers and the membership of
Harmony Lodge have made things very easy. I am looking forward to
the remainder of my year in the East and the continued fellowship of our
great lodge.
Fraternally and sincerely,
Alan French
