ALAN FRENCH

WORSHIPFUL MASTER

HARMONY LODGE #9 F&AM

2006 - 2007

My Brothers,

We return to labor from refreshment, and I am hopeful that everyone had a very pleasant and relaxing summer, it sounds like summer has ended when in reality there is still a lot of fine weather to enjoy.

The end of June we held or examination of candidates for the Master Mason Degree and I must congratulate them on an excellent showing. Everyone should understand the magnificent work performed by our Junior Deacon, Bob Kempf. Bob worked very hard with this class, even providing breakfast every Sunday morning. Thank You Bob.

July was picnic month and as usual Harmony had an excellent day at the Masonic Youth Center, I have to give a hearty thank you to our Sentinel Jerry Blau for the extremely well organized barbecue and delicious food. Jerry was ably assisted be our incoming class of candidates. These new members of Harmony were able to sign the by-laws at the picnic in front of their families. I did receive the traditional cold water dousing, but it was of a restrained nature I think in deference to my ancient age.

Harmony golf tournament was a great success, thank to W. Carmine D. Petrillo and his crew, I know that I had a lot of fun even tho I got a much worse soaking than I did at the picnic. I played with the two representatives from the Rhode Island Food Bank and they informed me how much they appreciate our efforts on their behalf.

Finally, a reminder to all about our Ladies at the Table Banquet scheduled for September 28th, this was a wonderful evening last year and I am sure it will be as successful this year. Please make your reservations early as seating is limited.

Fraternally and sincerely,

Alan French
