ALAN FRENCH

WORSHIPFUL MASTER

HARMONY LODGE #9 F&AM

2006 - 2007

My Brothers,

It is hard for me to realize that a year has passed since you elected me to the East, and for me it has been a most eventful year indeed. I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for the support and encouragement that I have received from my brothers in Harmony Lodge. The officers of Harmony are to be commended for their dedication and their efforts to make our Lodge one of the most active in the state. The elected officers made my job so much easier this year and I thank all of them. I know that this strong brotherhood will support our next Master, Bro. Steve Charron and I will do everything that I can to help our new Master.

We have had a busy and successful month of October, our step up night went very well and that evening we had a visit from Mr. Bill Flynn of the R. I. Community Food Bank, who received a check from Harmony Lodge #9 for $2600.00, money generated by our annual golf tournament.

October 5th the officers of Harmony and some of the members attended the semi-public installation of Fidelity DeMolay, this was an evening that we were able to see the excellent work of Fidelity and the dedication of some of our members to their cause. Congratulations! Fidelity DeMolay.

The Masonic open house was held on October 13th and brought us some genuinely interested group of men who are potential candidates for membership. This event was well supported by the officers and brothers of Harmony.

Our Ladies at the Table evening at the end of September was a spectacular event and we were honored by the presence of M. W. Steven E. Smith Grand Master of Masons for the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations and his Lady. We had a most entertaining evening of toasting and fine dining. My thanks to all for this memorable banquet.

My best for the future, I know that Harmony Lodge #9 F & AM will be in good hands.

Thank you to all for the support.

Fraternally and sincerely,

Alan French
